Puss Inn Bass is at Woolamai Hills, in South/East Gippsland — about 100km south-east of Melbourne via the Bass Highway, on the mainland side of the San Remo bridge. If you’re heading to Phillip Island for the Penguin Parade, the Nobbies, the Grand Prix Circuit or just a weekend at the beach, we’re directly on your route — not an out-of-the-way detour.
Most of what makes Phillip Island worth visiting — crowded wildlife attractions, packed summer accommodation, long beach days — isn’t especially fun for a cat to sit through either. Leaving them somewhere calm and boutique on the way down, rather than boarding on the island itself or leaving them home alone, means less time in the car for them and one less thing to plan around for you.
Note: Woolamai Hills (our location) is a separate mainland locality from Cape Woolamai, which is on Phillip Island itself — easy to mix up when searching, so if a map takes you to the island, you’ve gone too far.
